Try emerge -ask -verbose -autounmask-write =media-gfx/blender-3.6\*. What do you see that makes you think package.mask / package.unmask are applicable here? jlpoole wrote:Įos /etc/portage # date emerge -p media-gfx/blender What I did was create a file /etc/portage/package.unmask/blender with this content: I tried to unmask 3.5.1-r1, too, but no luck. I want to install the latest version of Blender and am having problems unmasking it. So I'm out in the fringe on this project. I checked portage for glFT libraries in Python, and there are none. I also note that to obtain the free version, rather one you pay $0.00 for, you have to provide and register with the developer and then you a given access to the zip archive. I've found using the plugin BLosm, an addon (free & paid-for, both appear to be closed source despite having a presence on GitHub) for Blender (formerly known as Blender-OSM), faults when accessing Google's 3D maps because of what looks to be missing python libraries of glft. I'm exploring glTF ("glTF™ is a royalty-free specification for the efficient transmission and loading of 3D scenes and models by engines and applications") and am trying to use Blender to generate some 3D scenes of a portion of my city.
